SOPAD: Let's make every day an opportunity to grow.

Children enjoying games after a refreshment, it was a joy to see the children from the Jabe orphanage on the premises of SOPAD – Solidarity for Sustainable Agriculture, who had come to receive a school supply kit for the new school year. Committed to assisting vulnerable individuals and marginalized communities, SOPAD organized a school campaign to gather supplies to distribute to the orphanage's children.

Under the theme "Make every day a chance to grow," SOPAD provided each child with a backpack, uniforms, shoes, and all the necessary supplies for the new school year. Joy was expressed on the little faces of the children, eager to return to school soon. In an atmosphere of joy and happiness, the coordinator of SOPAD's activities highlighted the role of education, emphasizing that it is not just a desire but a noble mission in which everyone is called to serve. After explaining to the officials of the Jabe orphanage the mission and various activities of the organization hosting the event, he emphasized that helping a child go to school is serving the entire nation in the long run.

A gesture applauded by the orphanage officials

Madame Munezero Frédiane, who represented the Jabe orphanage and accompanied the children during the activity, reflected on the impact that this gesture has on the hearts of these children based on her experience. In her words of thanks, she urged the children to see this gesture as an example they should follow when they grow up. For her, helping an orphaned child is showing them that, despite circumstances, there can be new parents, and this gesture remains significant, especially for children growing up in the conditions of orphanages. She concluded her speech with a blessing for the organizers and anyone who contributed to sending these children to school. Humbly, she asked SOPAD to maintain this attitude and always think of this orphanage, which requires many resources not only to send the children to school but also to feed, clothe, and reintegrate them into homes.

Happy to return to school...

Joyful to taste the NIKO juice made by the youth supported by SOPAD and to share the snack offered by the youth of the DUHURIREHO program, the children jump with joy, eager to return to school, which will soon ring the bells.

Games and dances were prevalent in the area where the children had fun trying on school bags after trying on uniforms, shirts, skirts, and shorts sewn as part of the TWINAGURE Training Center, one of the activities supported by SOPAD to empower vulnerable young girls and women in income-generating activities. During the family photo, the children laughed, smiled, teased each other, and made faces in front of the camera to express their joy tirelessly.
